If you want some authentic flavors straight from the world capital of pizza, New York, then look no further than Astoria’s New York Pizza. The stone oven that their pies are fired up on gives the crust a rich and flavorful finish that makes all the difference in the flavor you experience. Their Greek pizza is a real Mediterranean-style treat, with tender chicken, feta cheese, and kalamata olives on top of a zesty pesto base.
2. Phat Fish
This independent, locally-owned spot gives you a flavor that is truly unique to our town. You can build your own custom-made pizza pie or order one of their delicious specialty pizzas. For the latter option, we recommend their Badlands pie. The meaty mix of pepperoni and Italian sausage sitting on mozzarella and ricotta cheese with their house-made red sauce as the base makes for a mouthwatering taste.
3. Players Sports Bar and Grill
Whether you’re catching the big game or just going out for a meal, the food you get at Players will help you have an amazing experience. While there’s plenty to find on the eclectic menu here, the pizza is our go-to choice. Our favorite has got to be their spicy Hawaiian pie, with chunks of fresh pineapple, jalapeno peppers, Canadian bacon, and pepperoni all finished off with a drizzle of delicious sweet chili sauce.
4. Sanford’s Grub and Pub
Get everything you love about a pizza in a deconstructed dish when you order Sanford’s Southern Pizza Salad. A bed of mixed greens with pepperoni, Andouille sausage, a blend of mozzarella, provolone, parmesan, and Romano cheeses along with olives, bell peppers, mushrooms, and cherry tomatoes gives you bigtime pizza flavor in salad form.
5. FunZone Arcade and Pizza Ranch
Play games and eat delicious pizza at FunZone Arcade and Pizza Ranch. Both the buffet and the arcade are open all week, so this spot always makes a fun and convenient choice if you’re looking for something to do on your day out. Kids of all ages, as well as the kid inside of all of us, will love the fun games and fresh pizza you’ll enjoy here.
6. Godfather’s Pizza
Stop in at Godfather’s Pizza where they’ll make you a pie you can’t refuse because of how good it tastes. Get one of their jumbo pies to have 18 inches of pizza goodness for you to chow down on. Their taco pie is our favorite of the specialty pizzas they offer, with a zesty taco sauce drizzled on top that packs a delicious, spicy flavor.
