Nothing beats a warm day on one of the many beautiful golf courses near Dickinson, ND. You can unwind, test your skills, and feast your eyes on nature. We’ve listed a few of our favorite courses here, but trust us when we say choosing was difficult.

1. King’s Walk Golf Course, Grand Forks

This Arnold Palmer-inspired course does more than deliver an exceptional round; it’s designed to replicate the feel of link courses in Scotland and Ireland. Every time you step foot onto King’s Walk, nestled along natural prairie, you feel transported to another country. But the 18 holes also test players’ skills at all experience levels. Golfers can additionally enjoy:

  • A clubhouse with food service
  • Driving range
  • Target greens
  • Putting and chipping greens
  • Pro shop

2. Hawktree Golf Club, Bismarck

Bismarck’s inviting scenery has helped create a course that is equal parts challenging and lovely. The 18th hole is reported to be especially difficult. Players can personalize their games thanks to four sets of tees, and natural elevation changes make for an exciting round. The native grasses, brilliant colors, and plentiful wildlife only add to the experience.

3. The Links of North Dakota, Ray

Many consider The Links one of the most spectacular courses in all of North Dakota, and they might be right; the course was ranked #1 in the state by Golfweek. It sits in bluffs overlooking Lake Sakakawea and takes advantage of rolling hills, natural grasses, and breathtaking views. The Links is the only 18-hole championship golf course in the area to feature tee boxes and fairways, both of which deliver a true links experience.

4. Edgewood Golf Course, Fargo

With a difficulty rating of five, Edgewood is the perfect course for advanced golfers seeking a new challenge. It’s lined with bold, mature trees and boasts tough shots against a devilish design. Edgewood also runs along the Red River, and when you combine the majestic views with a true championship design, you see why this is one of the most popular courses in the area.

5. Bully Pulpit Golf Course, Medora

Not only is Bully Pulpit always in great condition, but its views of the badlands are awe-inspiring. The course has been named one of America’s top 100, and once you’re there, it’s easy to see why. Five different tees, a rugged fairway gorge, and plenty of challenging shots make for an experience unlike any other.

6. Heart River Golf Course, Dickinson

This course provides a relaxing round of golf along the Heart River. You can also catch glimpses of Patterson Lake, blending scenic views with diverse holes. The rolling top nine are matched with a wooded bottom nine. Many believe this course is North Dakota’s crowning jewel of golf.

You’ve invested in new equipment to elevate your game – maybe a new club or pair of shoes. But something still feels lacking. It’s your car, bland and less reliable than it used to be. If you’re going to travel to these different courses, you need a ride that delivers the same thrill as the game. Stop by Sax Motor today, choose a vehicle from our new or pre-owned inventory, and drive to your next tee time in style.
